Meet the Gurneys

Welcome to a quick post introducing my family. Below is a little bit about each of them!

Dustin

As much as I like to pretend like I’m the boss, he’s the one who knows all of the hands-on work related things. He’s a natural born stockman. Some people will try for years to achieve the a tenth of his cow sense and it just comes naturally to him. He’s also a talented team roper, but for the most part that’s in the past and it’s now time for him to teach our kids. Dustin loves the outdoors and he loves to hunt bugling bull elk or deer in the rut.

Bentley

At 13, Bentley doesn’t love pictures anymore so it’s almost a rare occasion when he lets me take one, let alone post it on the internet! Bentley will start high school next year which is crazy! He likes to ride horses, hunt, rope and play baseball. Bentley likes the finer things in life and will always order a medium rare steak when he goes out to eat. He’s becoming interested in cooking different meals at home which has been fun too.

Eleni

Eleni is the most involved child and doesn’t seem to be giving up any activities any time soon. She’s in dance, tumbling and piano regularly and then likes to play seasonal sports as well as has gotten into team sorting. That’s a lot for a 7 year old, but she’s really dedicated and comes home and practices each thing, plus reads and studies school things. She also gets drug around with Dustin and I all the time so she’s becoming a good little ranch hand whether she likes it or not.

Vasi

When people say there’s a reason that your last child is your last, they aren’t kidding. Vasi is sweet but she can be a terror too. She’s actually just really spoiled because she’s the 4 year old baby and telling her yes is usually the easiest option. Vasi wants to do everything like her sister, so she’s also in dance and tumbling and goes to preschool. She’s started riding her horse, but thinks she needs a faster one, she loves the ipad and loves to eat any kind of plain meat or some kind of treat—but not a regular meal because that would make life too easy.
